Library Technician - Karan Ratliff
Ms. Ratliff shows her passion for each and every student by making sure each child has their next favorite book when they leave the library. She also uses her wealth of experience in libraries to help manage the circulations of 800+ students, scheduling for 40+ classes, and manages volunteers (student leaders and parent volunteers) to help keep the library in tip top shape.
Welcome to the Elm Grove Library
Our library is a place for kids to read, to challenge themselves, to imagine, and then make their imagination come to life. We offer a place that engages all learners and gives them hands on opportunities to explore, create, tinker, and let their imaginations run wild!
Our Classes
We see every class in the school once a week-ish. (Kinder is a 6 day rotation and 5th comes every other week)
Here's how many books they can have...
-
Kinder = 1 book
-
1st/2nd grades = 2 books
-
3rd grade = 3 books
-
4th/5th grades = 4 books
**Exceptions are made when students are doing research or when extra books are needed for testing or holidays.

FLI (Facilitator of Library and Innovation)
Craig McCarthy
Mr. McCarthy was born an energetic goofball and couldn't imagine life any other way. He does his best to make the library a fun and engaging learning environment by planning lessons, organizing use of the Makerspace (Imaginarium), reading the occasional silly story book, and planning fun technology based games for reinforcing learning.
